Issaquah High School FIRST Robotics Team #1318 is excited to host WiST (Women in Science and Technology). The team is eager and enthusiastic to spread its passion for science throughout the Girl Scout community.

Within these past few years especially, women are being

demanded in the science and technology workforce. Through WiST, Team #1318 hopes to engage girls in this field, demonstrating to them how science and engineering affects everyone on a daily basis!

WiST will provide girls with an opportunity to talk to real engineers, drive award-winning robots built by Issaquah High School students, build their own Lego robots, learn the fundamentals of engineering, pneumatics, mechanics, and experience what it is like to work in a team to solve an engineering task. This is a fun and informative way to introduce girls to science.
